Dini Spheris. We’re committed to our clients' success.
A former president’s work is never truly finished.
Cumulative over $200 million
At Dini Spheris, when we say we’re committed to our clients and their success, we mean it. Our relationships aren’t transitory, as evidenced by many longstanding client collaborations. Our work with the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation and the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University began over 20 years ago and continues to this day.
In 1993, President George Bush returned to Texas after 12 years of service as Vice President and President of the United States in Washington, D.C. However, a former president’s work is never truly finished. As President Bush left office, he immediately began the work of planning and constructing his Presidential Library at Texas A&M to capture the legacy of his years in public office, including his presidency and this time in U.S. and world history.
With a familiarity of some of President Bush’s relationships, understanding of the intricacies involved in a presidential assignment and experience with public/private projects, Dini Spheris began working on the campaign for the George Bush Presidential Library. Ultimately the campaign would raise more than $85 million, with $42 million coming from the private sector and $43 million from a public sector component. The Presidential Library Foundation staff, Dini Spheris and Texas A&M successfully collaborated with President Bush on facilitating this multi-faceted fundraising challenge.
Dini Spheris developed a non-traditional fundraising plan that involved the formation of a strategically selected national and international group of almost 100 Library Trustees. This creative approach and strategically selected council helped surpass the campaign goal by 43%.
We are working with the Library Foundation and Bush School on a fourth, $85 million campaign, which will bring the total raised to over $200 million for the two entities. Twenty years after that first campaign to establish the Presidential Library and School of Government and Public Service, we still proudly serve as their partner in raising these funds.
